Sugar Road: The Story

Sugar Road, a longstanding Massachusetts-based band, is made up of a talented team of creative musicians who have been playing together since 2000. They play an eclectic mix of blues, country, and rock covers with a sprinkle of original music – many of the covers you don't hear regularly but will wake up old memories and come to life in their performances. Mixing covers with original songs creates inspiring performances full of fun and energy.

The longstanding core members of the Sugar Road team include:

• Roy MacKinnon - Lead vocalist and guitarist Roy has had a storied musical career, performing regularly both in the US and Europe. Roy's abilities cross many styles, from blues to eclectic rock to country with expert picking styles to rival the best.

• Mark D'Antonio - Mark is a guitar player and multi-instrumentalist who mixes deep-hooked rhythm playing with tasteful leads. He is adept at a wide range of styles and always brings high energy to Sugar Road performances.

• Gary Epstein - Gary serves as the rhythmic backbone of Sugar Road, playing drums and many other percussion instruments to bring texture, depth, and intricacy to all arrangements. He energizes each song, adding expert flourishes while maintaining the song's rhythmic foundation.
